Mizner Park is a world-class entertainment, residential, and shopping center in Boca Raton‘s upscale downtown region. The area is made up of a mix of high-end stores and restaurants, as well as luxury apartments designed in the Mediterranean Renaissance architecture.
The Boca Raton Museum of Art and an amphitheater are located on the northern side of the project, which also contains the Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park. Lord & Taylor decided to set up a shop in the area in the fall of 2011. The shop first opened its doors in the warmer months of 2013.
Mizner was built as a conventional Mediterranean renaissance city center by Cooper Carry. It is titled after Boca Raton’s developer, architect Addison Mizner.
Mizner Park is a multi-award earning mixed-use project. It stands on the location of an unsuccessful 36-acre shopping complex that was built in the 1970s. Mizner Park was intended as a framework for developing a “downtown” for the region of Boca Raton, thanks to a brilliant and devoted private-public cooperation between the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) of Boca Raton and Crocker Partners.
The public-private collaboration, which many consider to be among the first unique, developed a system for sustaining and financing the project and also permitting community areas and public facilities. Mix-use and multiple structures that blend retail and office space, a Center for the Arts complex, museums, restaurants, cinemas, townhouses, and apartments are located toward the large outdoor “Plaza Real.”
There is parking for roughly two thousand five hundred automobiles available on the sidewalk and in nearby structures. Mizner Park has positioned Boca Raton as a Floridian liveable community in the 30 years ever since its inception, serving as a practical example for large-scale, mixed-use redevelopment in terms of concept, funding, and design.
It is one of Boca Raton’s most well-known landmarks and the primary community gathering place.
Several guests praised the multi-use recreational area’s lush gardens ambiance, calling it a “must-see” and ideal for roaming. Nevertheless, residents welcome unrestricted parking and choose activities (like summer performances), recognizing that it is a draw for visitors.
The park opens from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mon through Sat and 12:00 pm to 6:00 p.m. on Sun. Restaurants and individual store hours could differ. You can park for free in the different parking areas provided in the Park. Mizner Park is roughly four miles in the southeastern part of Boca Raton.
