THE BOCA RATON MUSEUM OF ART

The Boca Raton Museum of Art is situated at Mizner Park and has about four thousand five hundred pieces of art. African, nineteenth and twentieth-century American and European paintings, sculptures, and drawings, and a spectacular photographic collection of over one thousand five hundred photos are among the permanent collections.

This Boca Raton, FL point of interest hosts a variety of touring exhibits and permanent collections by renowned and emerging artists, as well as pieces by some of the world’s greatest painters. It hosts training materials, artist talks, films, children’s activities, and special events.

Over two hundred thousand people visit the museums each year, rendering them a prominent cultural attraction in the region and other surrounding region. The museum encourages visitors to draw in the exhibits and even has pencils, sketchbooks, and clipboards available at the front counter. The museum provides free entry every first Sunday of the month.

Between Labor Day and Memorial Day, the Boca Raton Museum of Art is classified as one of the Blue Star museums by tourists, which means active-duty troops and their family members can visit for free. The American Alliance of Museums has granted the museum accreditation.

The photographic collection, according to former guests, is “first-rate,” and the museum provides a wonderful respite from the Floridian hot weather. After or before your visit, visitors are advised to wander through the area or get a quick lunch at one of its numerous eateries.

The center is accessible from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Thursdays, and 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. during the weekends. Adult registration is twelve dollars; children under the age of twelve are admitted free. You may get free entry on the first Sundays of the month if you arrive on that day. The four garages of Mizner Park offer free parking.

The Art School

The Art School, which is also the museum’s educational section, provides a variety of programs. It is located along Palmetto Park Road, where the museum first opened. Both beginner and skilled painters can enroll in courses. Weaving, photography pottery, and jewelry production are just a few of the courses available. There is also a summertime art program for children aged 5 – 12.

The Artists’ Guild

The Artists’ Guild is somewhat of an affiliate center of the Boca Raton Museum of Art. The Boca Raton Museum of Art’s governing board established it in 1984. All through the year, the guild hosts approximately 20 exhibitions, with all earnings benefiting the museum. Art lovers and artists alike are welcome to join the guild.
